Hangar with access to water in Čurug on the Stara Tisa is officially included in the training center of the Rowing Federation of Serbia, built in 2008 from the Provincial Secretariat for Sports and Youth financed from the funds of rowing federation of Serbia. Rowing club “Čurug” from Čurug was founded in August in 2003 as an association of citizens. In the Rowing Federation of Serbia and Montenegro it was acknowledged a month later. The first official competition in which our club participated is the 11th Championship on Rowing Ergometers in which we have participated with two athletes in the pioneer and cadet competition. The main objective of the rowing club “Čurug” is the popularization of this sport in our village particularly for school children. From the equipment we currently have 3 skiff and 1-doubles sculls, as well as boards for training of rowers. Rowing club “Čurug” is also the organizer of the now traditional “Čurug regatta”. The plan is also several organizations of rowing regattas at regional and republic level
